Report

Pros

- Decent sample of data

196 racedays in the last 4 years

- Winner

5 UCI wins while not having the best support

- Could be useful for UCI points

"Easy" national championship; knows the Balkan and low-level European calendar

- Cheap

He hasn't had a chance in a top team yet and he's not from a top-tier country so signing him could have an interesting price/risk ratio

Cons

- Low-level races

Just one .Pro race in his career

- Small teams

He might not have the best tools for development

The scout's view

I became aware of Nikiforos' talent this winter when I was preparing my scouting dossier. I payed attention to him in the first part of the season and his performances were better than I expected. He sprints without any decent support but he still manages to be in the first places. His breakout win is still to come but I think he needs more support to achieve that goal.

Thanks to his in-depth Strava page we can analyse most of his efforts and what we see is a versatile sprinter who could adapt well to the Spanish, Italian or French races with short climbs that wipe out the chances of heavier sprinters. Arvanitou weighs around 70 kilos but is able to produce in-race efforts that are close to 1500 watts. He still has to prove himself in bigger races and show that he can perform in harder stages but those numbers are promising.

Also, as said on the report section, he should be a cheap option for teams desperate for UCI points. The Greek national championship gives some valuable points due to the lack of top competition and his experience in 1.2 and 2.2 races should attract ProTeams who can't compete in more important races.
